A pale golden green colour in the glass. Brightly aromatic with gunsmoke, cashew, white peach, hay, orange zest, vanilla, caramel and apricot notes on the nose. Tightly bound into a palate that has impressive depth, riding a wave of crisp acidity. A ripe concentration of stonefruit and citrus, balanced with delicious elements like preserved lemon, allspice, weetbix, and a crushed-shell minerality. A powerful expression with energy, focus and a layered complexity – quite a ride. Towards the dry, lasting finish there is also a rounded creaminess of texture that is welcoming and softening after the big voice of the palate. 93pts
