From the excellent Everyday wine store – an ‘own brand’ Sauvignon Blanc made from a BioGro-certified organic vineyard in Nelson. Barrel-fermented and matured, in a style more akin to a French Fumé Blanc than our ‘classic Marlborough’ version. Elegantly aromatic, in a more white peach, apple, grapefruit, nutmeg and lemon peel direction. Dry, with a fresh acidity and plenty of lush fruit flavours adding richness through the palate. A touch of saline and oyster-shell minerality amongst the oatmeal and brioche influences from the oak treatment. Finishes well – pithy and textured. 92pts
