Pale gold in the glass. On the nose is granny smith, apricot, lime and orange peel, with a chalky minerality and a sweet almond note. Take a sip though, and first instinct is that it’s not sweet (but it does have 44 grams per litre of residual sugar), which says plenty about the acidity, ripeness and balance in this wine. Great acidity, juicy and intense through the palate. Simple, easy to understand flavours – greengage, apple pie, lemongrass, honey and spice. Vibrant and jazzy, with bounce and style. Good ageing potential here too. 92pts.
