Made from Cabernet Franc fruit, hand-picked in the Bridge Pa region of Hawke’s Bay. A pale salmon pink (with a hint of mandarin peel) colour in the glass – very easy on the eye – with colour so important in rosé. Equally delicate and inviting on the nose, with lovely aromatics of redcurrant, blueberry, white peach and blanched almond. Light bodied, with an acidity that is crisp, fresh and balanced with a touch of sweetness. Juicy red fruits bloom in the palate, and there’s a nice phenolic touch to the texture that adds a bit more interest to an already quite characterful rosé. A great aperitif wine – light, mouth-watering and brightens the summer lunch table. 89pts.
