The new vintage from across three sub-regions of Hawke’s Bay, although with 50% coming from the Gimblett Gravels vines. Elegant nose filled with aromas of white peach, cashew, grapefruit, and citrus peel. Light to medium bodied, showing a brisk acidity – nicely balanced and precise. Green notes – chamomile, tarragon herbals and an oyster shell minerality. Ripe fruit with a slight savoury counterpoint – red apple meets preserved lemon. Ageing on less has imparted a creamy oatmeal texture and subtle richness to the finish. Good value here in the range that just gets better and better. 90pts.
