From Te Muna Road vineyards in Martinborough, producing a gorgeous dry, mineral-laced Sauvignon Blanc that is a vibrant pale lemon-green in the glass. A coltish freshness on the nose, with orange peel, blackcurrant, cucumber, dried pineapple, lemongrass and blanched almond aromas. Brimming with acidity, a real bite and drive through the palate. Spiced with ginger and jalapeno, and a hint of herbal verbena and crushed basil. Delicious phenolics with grapefruit pith and red apple skin; and a mealy richness underlying that – from time on lees. A class act – balanced and precise – a wine with character right through. 93pts.
