A Hawke’s Bay wine, from the excellent but COVID-hit vintage. An aromatic nose of peach, grapefruit, apple, lemon peel, apricot and baking spice. Medium bodied, with integrated acidity and oak influences. Good depth on the palate, with ripe, tropical flavours developing in the glass. A creamy texture and a touch of crushed-shell minerality. A layer of toasty, brioche, nougat-like generosity lies in wait at the back of the palate, and then a decent length to the finish. 90pts.
