A single vineyard wine, from Marlborough’s Awatere Valley. Aromatic, clean and bright with lime zest, green melon, satsuma, lychee and citrus blossom on the nose. Light bodied, with 10.5% alcohol, in a medium-sweet style – well balanced between the crisp acidity and a good lick of succulent fruit sugar. The palate is rich, with ripe flavours of toffee apple and grilled pineapple, overlaid with a toasted breadcrumb note. A plush viscosity finishes the picture. Excellent, long, flowing finish. A limited release and well-crafted wine with plenty of character, but still a fairly straightforward and crowd-pleasing style. 92pts.
