From two vineyards near the Wairau River in Marlborough. Vibrant pale lemon-gold in the glass, with plenty of spice, stonefruit and pear aromas that finish in a floral lift of honeysuckle and and citrus blossom. Rich and ripe through the palate, with apple strudel, honey, nectarine and baking spice deepening the flavours. With moderate acidity, it is also nicely textured, plush and in that off-dry sweet spot where the varietal nuances really shine. The finish is crisp, balanced and with nice length. 90pts.
