Made by Daniel Brennan with fruit from the Two Terraces vineyard in Hawke’s Bay. Clear, pale lemon-gold in the glass. Brightly aromatic, with melon, apple, raw cashew, greengage, apricot and elderflower florals on the nose. Softly spiced into the palate, with fresh ginger, mace and cardamom A tightness and tension showing in the mid-palate, quite linear and with a bright acidity. Richer notes develop at the back, with candied fruits, honey and a chalky minerality. Well balanced, pure and flowing – plenty going on here. Clean and fresh on the refreshing and lengthy finish. 93pts.
