From Waiheke island, and the excellent 2021 vintage. Pale, translucent lemon yellow in the glass, crisp and fresh aromas of blackcurrant, capsicum, lemon rind, cut grass and greengage. Dry, with plenty of brisk acidity adding a vivacious intensity to the palate of citrus, green melon, apple, gooseberry and passionfruit. Taut and tense, with good development in the glass, moving towards a sleek texture and some green herbal notes make their mark. A refreshing finish, with a lingering sense of saline minerality. 89pts.
