From the Gimblett Gravels in Hawke’s Bay comes this delicious blend of traditional Rhone Valley white varietals. A striking pale green-gold in the glass with sumptuous aromas of fresh hay, apricot, lemon peel, ginger, pear and cherry blossom. Dry, with a lovely balance of crisp acidity and silken texture through to the fresh, ripe palate. Showing more tropical and musky notes here, with fig, honey, melon, chestnut and a little fruit tannin. A warmth and weight, with a subtle barrel influence and touch of spice deeper in the layers. The finish is medium length but brings in one final element – a distinctive mineral wet stone note. 92pts.
