From The Landing vineyard on the Purerua peninsula in the Bay of Islands, this Pinot Gris is a bright, light lemon-yellow in the glass. Classic varietal aromas of pear, pink apple, almond, baking spice and citrus blossom bloom with a gentle swirl. Light to medium bodied, with a youthful charm and finesse. Dry, showing an appetising acid line into the palate of white peach, lychee, cardamom, cloves and gingerbread. Textural, with a creamy, plush mealiness, and even a little pithy fruit tannin to the finish. Well made, with real personality – more of this please.. 93pts.
