A brilliant pale lemon-green in the glass with a crisp, expressive nose of preserved lemon, hazelnut, mandarin peel and nashi pear. Full bodied, with a streak of vibrant acidity. The palate is fresh and elegant with grapefruit, peach and yellow apple flavours. Complex – with a distinctive, wet stone minerality and a subtle touch of just enough rich and spicy oak to add more interest without hiding the fruit. Some baking spice notes and herbals of fennel and chamomile slide in at the finish, which is plush, generous and lengthy. 92pts.
