From the Te Muna Road vineyard in Martinborough, comes this Pinot Gris from the excellent 2020 vintage. Palest silvery lemon-green in the glass, with scintillating floral notes and perfumed with pear, galangal and pineapple on the nose. Dry – just 2 g/l RS – with a 60% whole bunch component, the phenolics are plush and rounded, with a dense texture. Balanced acidity drives the wine nicely, as ripe peach, crystallised ginger, satsuma and apple danish flavours fan out across the palate. The finish is crisper, with a hint of pithy drying – but lingering and leaves you wanting another glass. 92pts.
