From Marlborough, this Gold Medal winner at the NZIWS in 2020, shows a bright, clear pale green-lemon in the glass, with piercing aromas of green capsicum, fresh sorrel and chamomile, gooseberry and white spring flowers. A vibrant acidity leads you into a crunchy palate that turns left into more tropical path on the fruit, with flavours of melon, guava, passionfruit and nashi pear. It’s dry, but really zesty, and a stony minerality introduces itself towards the juicy, lingering finish. 91pts. Another punchy 2020 from Marlborough – great summer drinking.
