A white wine from Pinot Noir – this Blanc de Noir is a joy to find, giving just a hint of it’s source in some white cherry flavours. Hardly the merest hint of salmon pink in colour, with a perfume of peach, pear, lemon blossom and dried apricot. Dry, and quite light on the palate, but blooms to a nice textural mouthfeel. Ripe but crisp fruit – honeydew, orange zest and golden apple. A shortbread and panetone layer of spice comes through at the back, as well as a minerality at the long, strawberry and watermelon finish. 92pts
