A wine from vineyards in the Wairau Valley of Marlborough. One of those classic Marlborough expressions. I can’t imagine it happening, but if you did have someone over who had never tried a Marlborough Sav – you could certainly give them this and sit back knowing the job’s well done. A pale steely green colour in the glass. Again, classically expressive in the blast of tropical and citrus aromas in the perfume. Lemon, grapefruit and lime, passionfruit, jalapeno and guava, and blackcurrant, apple and green herbs. Brimming with crisp acidity and concentrated, ripe fruit. Well-balanced and energetic, it bounds along to a drier, salivating finish. 90pts
