First of a couple of aromatics this weekend – trying to go through the cellar a bit. Don’t know much about this wine… a lemon-gold in the glass, and has a typical Gewurtz nose of lime marmalade and orange peel mixed with that faint sugary Turkish delight aroma.
There’s some sherbet characters underpinning the mango and lychee fruit flavours. Medium dry with a subtle sweetness and viscosity on the palate, with a nice textural mouthfeel. Medium acidity balancing the sweetness and a few ginger spice notes coming into the finish.
