A Riesling from organic fruit, grown on alluvial soils in Martinborough. A very pale straw-lemon yellow in the glass. The perfume has a lovely varietal purity, with lime, golden apple, lemongrass, bay leaf, grapefruit and elderflower in the mix. Dry, with a pithy acidity that leads the way, but the palate also has an immediate smooth textural quality that slows things down. A light prickle of tannin adds intensity and interest mid-palate. A soft but mouth-wateringly fresh finish has really good length. 92pts
