A white wine using fruit from the Wairau and Awatere Valleys of Marlborough – and winner of one of the coveted ‘Double Gold’ awards at NZIWS this year. A pale silvery green colour in the glass. The scent is inviting, with lush fruit notes of peach, mandarin, melon and pear. Quite succulent and plush into the palate, with an off-dry style that is brightly energetic. Acidity swells the juicy fruit and gives plenty of drive. A mealy, silken texture folds back around the fruit, with a touch of spice merging at the back of the palate. The texture carries into the rounded finish with great length. At around $13 a bottle, this is superb value. 92pts
