A wine that received a 100/100 score from John Schreiner – a well-respected Canadian wine critic. It comes from the Jagged Rock vineyard in the Okanagan Valley. A pale straw colour in the glass, and the bouquet is quite reticent, with delicate notes of pear, lemon curd, fennel, lime peel hiding under a fine layer of struck-match reductivity. Opening up with air, there is more to this, with a nip of pepper, verbena and orange blossom florals. The palate reveals more, with a lick of toasty oak, a very crisp acidity and a touch of herbal green coming together. The finish is simple and clean. but lengthy. 91pts
