A single vineyard Pinot Noir from Bendigo in Central Otago, using a range of clones, including Clone 5, 115 and Abel. A dense ruby-purple colour in the glass. A lively and fragrant perfume leads with florals of flowering herbs and lilac over ripe cherry, raspberry, blood orange and cranberry fruits. Firm, restrained into the palate, with a line of acidity offering drive and lifting the juiciness of the fruit. Structure is formed with a toasty barrel character and tight but fine tannins. Spice emerges at the generous finish. Shows great promise – cellar for another 4-5 years to show its best. 92pts
