From the clay-heavy soils of the Moutere sub-region in Tasman. A pale steely-straw colour in the glass. The perfume shows great varietal typicity, with golden stonefruit, lemon, baked apricot danish, baking spice, and generous orange blossom and jasmine floral top notes. The palate opens quite zesty balanced with subdued acidity. Bright and juicy through the middle, with a richness of buttered toast with honey – showing a sprinkling of oak influence. There’s also a tangy texture, with a sense of fresh greek yoghurt. Some heat to the finish, but it has good persistence of flavour. 91pts
