From one of Auckland’s local Italian specialists, using Dolcetto (a Piedmonte varietal) and Sangiovese (from Tuscany) to make a Rosato style of Rosé. A splendid colour – vibrantly jewel-like with a pale magenta pink tinge. Perfumed with blueberry, red liquorice, cranberry, orange peel and tamarillo. There’s a ripe sweetness upfront, with just a delicate tingle of spritz. That zing and the crisp acid drive the flavours through with energy and vitality spreading across the palate.
