A Methode Traditionelle wine from Marlborough – part of the ‘Methode Marlborough’ group. Pale golden salmon colour in the glass. Delicately aromatic, with raspberry, white pepper, tangerine, rosehip, cherry, peach, and honeysuckle on the nose. Crisp, dry, and nicely weighted with a fine bead and a medium acidity. Elegant through the palate with notes of yeasty brioche, yellow plum, candy apple and a little minerality. In the plush texture (from 2+ years on lees) that swaddles the back of the palate, you might also start to get a bit of funk as the character starts to develop and it comes out of its shell a bit. Classic, refined sparkling. 92pts.
