Fruit from very low-yielding vines on their hottest vineyard block, a mix of 50% Viognier, 30% Marsanne and 20% Rousanne results in this classic Rhone Valley style white blend.
Intensely aromatic, with florals of orange blossom, herbal elements of sage, lemongrass and sorrel, and deeper flavours of nectarine, pineapple and blanched almond. Medium bodied, dry and crisp with a line of silvery acidity and salinity. The palate is flooded with succulent, opulent fruit – apricot is a driver, with guava, golden peach as passengers. Spiced with nutmeg, cassia and cardamom, and gentle seasoning of nutty oak. Creamily textural, with more stony minerality coming back in at the end. Finishes dry and refreshing. 92pts.
