Classic Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, this one from the Awatere Valley. Beautiful palest green-yellow in the glass. Has the varietal trademark aromas – quite green and grassy, with grapefruit, gooseberry and elderflower on the nose. The palate shows a little richer than the nose, with riper fruits and a good depth of concentration to the flavours. Tautly structured, with energy and clarity. Nectarine, passionfruit and green melon with more citrus as the spine of acidity takes you through the layers. A salty lick of salinity towards the end, and a generous, lingering finish. 91pts.
