Allan Scott Pinot Gris 2026

A wine from the Wairau Valley in Marlborough. A bright golden-copper colour in the glass. Plush aromas of pear, ginger, nectarine, sliced apple, white pepper and vanilla, topped with a honeysuckle floral note. The palate is subtle and well-balanced, with the ripe fruit leading the way. Not quite bone dry, but the fresh acidity keeps the flavours moving. A toasted breadcrumb element emerges in the finish that is rounded and mouth-watering. Soft enough to drink on its own, or as an easy-going option with lunch. 88pts
