From the Wairau Plains, and only 350 cases made. A brilliant straw coloured wine, going lemon-green at the edges. Lively fragrance of honey and white flowers, with roasted hazelnuts. Crisp and balanced acidity meets the ripe melon, peach and zesty citrus with an unfolding spiciness. It has an elegance and a linear flow to the palate; and the toasty oak and creamy texture are neatly integrated and refined, not blowsy and unfocussed. The finish is long and brings in a slight mineral edge.
