A rosé made from Central Otago Pinot Noir. Quite a bright and darker tone of pink than I’m seeing whilst judging rosé lately – a deep copper orangey-pink colour here. A bountiful perfume, with red cherry, orange peel, pomegranete, blueberry, apricot, candied peel and apple pie. Off dry, with butterscotch sweet notes. A touch of tannin adds interest and texture and dries things a little in the back palate. Spice, chamomile and almond also pop up, with the finish reflecting the nose. A character-filled expression with charm and appeal. 92pts
