An Albariño from the Bridge Pa Triangle sub-region of Hawke’s Bay – and winner of the Trophy for Champion ‘Other White Wine Varieties’ at the New Zealand International Wine Show in 2024. A pale golden-green hue in the glass. Powerfully aromatic, with bountiful lime, grapefruit, apple, pear, fig, peach and floral flavours on the nose. Quite full-bodied, rounded and packing a little heat from the 14% vol. alcohol. Salty acidity gives drive and races across the palate. There’s a also a fine, silken texture that wraps around the ripe fruit and heads into a spicy, fresh finish. 91pts
