A wine from Marlborough – handpicked fruit from a couple of Riesling blocks on the Framingham home estate. Powerfully perfumed, with green aromas dominating the nose – lime cordial, jalapeno, basil, crisp apple, lemon sherbert and lychee. The palate is off-dry but not sweet, with a bright acidity giving a bold wave that flows through the middle. A texture that has talc and grapefruit pith to it. Intriguing and well worth savouring, things are slowly evolving in the glass. The finish is generous, with a note of warmth (and apple pie!) to it. 93pts
