A single vineyard wine from the Upper Awatere in Marlborough. A bright lemon-green colour in the glass. Equally bright are the aromatic scents of peach, lemon zest, grapefruit, breadcrumb, and cashew nut, with a blast of struck-match reductivity as a top note. Concentrated, generous and power-packed through the palate where acidity highlights the juiciness. A rich oak toast pairs with a pithy tannin line to add complexity and depth, with enough creamy texture to round it all out. The finish is long and dry. 93pts
