A well-regarded example of an off-dry Riesling – winning the Trophy for Champion Riesling at The National Wine Awards of Aotearoa, and a Gold Medal at NZIWS 2023. Very pale green in the glass, with effusive aromas that could only be Riesling. Scents of lime sorbet, lemon peel, grapefruit and crisp green apple. Immediately on the palate there is a joyful balance and interplay of fresh acidity and residual sweetness. This generates energy and interest, letting those ripe fruit flavours sing. The mouthfeel is rich, even slightly creamy – despite that acid sharpness. Some minerality and a hint of crushed herbs at the finish round things out. 93pts
