A ruby-carmine red colour in the glass, with slight opacity. Great Pinot has captivating scent, and this has a very appealing perfume of cranberry, dark cherry, orange peel, rosehip jelly and a lift of lilac and rose petal on the nose. Great depth to the palate – much bolder than the aroma suggests. Here is a balance between savoury notes of olive and nori, with juicy red fruits. Medium-bodied and quite agile – with a bounce and energy throughout. A vibrant acidity and a slatey minerality sit in a sleek, rounded texture. The finish is warming, polished and smooth. 93pts
