The icon-level white wine from Man O’ War on Waiheke Island. A shining golden colour in the glass. Youthfully bright aromas of apricot, peach, apple, grapefruit, cashew, lemon peel, baguette crumb and spicy oak. Filled with energy, and filling the mouth – concentrated and impactful. A maypole of intertwining elements – the oak is obvious but the acidity is also forthright, so that where there is weight there is also freshness. A viscose, rounded texture settles the back of the palate, and the finish is drying and long. 95pts
