This 2021 version is made in barrels used for the Clearview Endeavour – another similarly full-throttle Chardonnay. A pale gold in the glass, with vibrant aromatics of peach, lemon, hazelnut, mandarin peel, nougat, pear and grapefruit. The oak is upfront but fine and well-judged for the style – the ripe fruit just gobbling it up. A wine of great character – concentrated, powerful and with an energetic acidity.
