An elegant, definitely french, nose of plum, cedar, tobacco, redcurrant, pot pourri, mint, cherry and liquorice, plus a savoury earthiness. That savoury aspect develops on the palate, with mushroom, lavender, peat and mocha notes overlaid on dark blue fruits. Concentrated and intense, each sip unwinds more complexity and depth, the elements in line to present themselves. Tannins are softy supple and the oak is attentive but relaxed and supportive.
