A deep ruby-burgundy in the glass, with an opulent nose of dark cherry, rosehip, elderberry, Campari and a lovely floral note of violets. The palate follows suit. Fruit is plush \u2013 damson, raspberry and red liquorice. This is where New World meets Old. The handling of the oak is quite masterful, and the tannins are silken, supple, delicious. Lightly spicy, and with nuances of minerality, herb and \u2018umami\u2019 in layers of complexity, just waiting to unfold. Seamless, with everything in smooth, rich harmony.
