From their organic, unique, vineyards on the bank of the Wairau River in Marlborough – a bright, ruby red in the glass. Fresh and light on the nose, with a floral and sweet red berry aroma. On the palate the sensation is much deeper then both the colour and nose suggest \u2013 like many modern Pinot Noir. Indeed you could believe this was a fine french burgundy. Ripe plum, cassis, fruit jube, rosehip and cranberry notes nestle amongst some herbal and savoury, umami flavours. Complex, layered and very dynamic. Swiftly carried on a spine of acidity and acknowledging the supple tannin and sweet, spiced oak influence as you travel through the wine.
