I am drinking (or should that be loving) this biodynamic wine on a fruit day and it is certainly singing! In the glass (Riedel designed specifically for Central Otago Pinot Noir) it has a medium ruby hue with a solid core with some lightening in colour on the rim but otherwise little sign of ageing. Classic Central Otago lifted aromatic notes of black cherry, star anise and dried herbs. There is still plenty of tannin structure (25% whole bunch) with concentrated black cherry flavours – very moreish and savoury characters developing. Has pronounced length.
