I don\u2019t think it was my belief that these condition can often lead to wines that age particularly well that led me to have this budget-friendly bottle stashed away for this long\u2026 but whatever the reason, it was time to taste it.<\/p>\n
A mid-burgundy ruby red colour in the glass. The aromas showed raspberry, cherry, cranberry, sage, thyme and a light marmite savouriness too. Acidity is saline and vibrant as it picks up the tangy fruit flavours and pushes them forward. Sinewy tannin gives structure, and that savoury, umami note returns to balance the red berries.
