A relatively rare variety in New Zealand that is perhaps best known from the French appellation of Juran\u00e7on. Forrest and Churton have it in their Marlborough vineyards as well as Steve Voysey making this one from Gisborne. A rich golden-copper colour in the glass. A beguiling perfume, with equally golden tones of quince, peach, mandarin, honey and apple crumble. There\u2019s also notes of sherry rancio, sandalwood and walnuts. Dry and full-bodied, with a blast of acidity that contrasts well with an almost late-harvest edge of ripeness to the fruit.
