A New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc that strays far from the path well-trodden by the majority of Marlborough examples. From a single vineyard in Bendigo, Central Otago, there is a much to recognise from Bordeaux as our more familiar local wines. A very pale golden-green colour. The scent shows blackcurrant, citrus and apple, with more tropical notes of passionfruit, ginger and chamomile. The palate is dry, medium-bodied and has a fine balance between the brisk acidity and a silky, mouth-filling texture that shows straightaway and persists. Broadening as you go, with little elements of liquorice, crushed shell, white pepper and jellybean appearing.
