A wine for their two vineyard sources in Bannockburn and Gibbston in Central Otago – now labelled as \u201cThe Blend\u201d for this vintage. A bright and bloody burgundy purple colour in the glass. A complex bouquet displays both delicate floral, herb and spice notes alongside more robust cherry, damson, black olive and even tar aromas. Good varietal typicity, and youthful energy. Quite juicy and fresh in the palate – a result of the crisp acidity. There is some barrel toast and fine, supple tannin adding more structure, framing the ripe fruit.
