A wine made by Daniel Brennan in Hawke\u2019s Bay – winner of a Gold Medal at the NZIWS in 2023. An opaque purple, with magenta at the edges. Deeply aromatic – a flush of black cherry, damson, bramble, spice and floarl aromas come tumbling from the glass. As well as that lush, fleshy fruit, there is a solid framework of crisp acidity and plentiful, but supple, tannin. A confident and attention-grabbing wine that has a lot going on, but retains balance and drive through the complexities of the palate.
